I 🖤 Analog Inking. So I filled a stack of papers with hand-inked characters and elements for last year’s moving Brabantsedag poster, all inspired by carnival iconography. Then I scanned them all to create a sculpture in Blender which I could animate.
Here’s a little overview of all those ink drawings, since I never shared them as a collection before.
To see the moving version of these ink drawings in the final poster, check the Animated poster blog entry.
Also check the making of of the moving poster, and how it was used across the Brabantsedag 2025 campaign.

Read the press release about the 66th Brabantsedag, with the theme “Carnaval Unmasked” (Dutch: “Carnaval Ontmaskerd”) here.
Brabantsedag is a really unique and cool way of storytelling using theatrical parade floats. Check their website out to discover more about it! The parade around the carnaval theme will take place on Sunday August 31, 2025 in Heeze, near Eindhoven.
