“Eindhoven is Groen” – one of the pre-show scenes I drew for Toekomst040 at Glow 2025.
Since the original campaign identity (developed by Thinc Ahead) was based around colored pencil doodles, I wanted these animated visuals to spring from the same medium.
Even though I drew everything digitally due to a tight deadline, I approached it like I would on paper. I used watercolor brushes to lay down a first layer under sketchy pencil lines. To keep the visual connected to the brand, I only used the palette of the campaign and the signature Eindhoven red. Finally with a pencil brush I started sketching in the same colors, and mixing them to create secondary and tertiary colors.
